Mattel makes Barbie inspired by Céline Dion’s 1998 Oscars look

Mattel has made a collectible Barbie of Céline Dion, inspired by the singer’s appearance at the 1998 Oscars.

The doll recreates her navy gown and blue diamond necklace, worn when she performed “My Heart Will Go On” from the film Titanic.

Dion, who was born in Quebec, joins a lineup of celebrity singers and fashion-inspired dolls.

The release offers fans a tribute to one of Dion’s memorable performances.

It comes as the 58-year-old singer has returned to the stage with a sold-out residency in Paris, her first full-length concert in six years.

Dion previously revealed she had been diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome, a rare disorder that affects mobility.

The doll is available to buy online for $92, but organizers at Montreal’s Barbie Expo do not know if or when it will join their collection.
