Indonesia Opens Skills Training Applications for Workers Laid Off in 2024–2026

Indonesia’s Manpower Ministry is offering vocational training to laid-off workers to help them gain skills for new jobs or start businesses.

The programme gives priority to people who lost their jobs between 2024 and 2026.

Applicants need proof of their job loss, such as a termination notice, or may submit a signed statement if they cannot provide the usual documents.

Individuals apply through the ministry’s SkillHub portal, where they create an account, enter their details and upload required documents, including an identity card.

Training providers check applications and interview candidates before deciding who qualifies.

Successful applicants must register again on the portal before training, while companies, unions, industry associations and local employment offices can also submit group applications.
