Andreas Gabalier begins anniversary Unplugged tour

Andreas Gabalier opened his anniversary Unplugged tour in Berlin on Wednesday evening.

The Austrian singer is marking 10 years since his MTV Unplugged performance in 2016.

Instead of his usual arenas and stadiums, the tour is mainly visiting opera houses and concert halls; Berlin’s opening show was held at the Punch Line Club.

An 11-member Czech string ensemble joins Gabalier and his band, giving his songs a different sound.

The concert included tracks from his new album, “Handwerk – 10 Jahre Unplugged,” as well as familiar hits such as “Hulapalu.”

Gabalier also has a personal connection to the Czech Republic, where he spent two weeks as a teenager on a student exchange in Budweis.

The 21-concert tour runs until November 25, 2026.

Our concert series has no big show effects; it is a beautiful, handmade evening programme at a high musical level. Our string ensemble puts the crown on it.
