Newsom campaigns for New Hampshire Democrats as 2028 speculation grows

California Gov.

Gavin Newsom campaigned for New Hampshire Democrats at an event in Exeter ahead of the November election.

He appeared with Democratic Senate candidate Chris Pappas and gubernatorial candidate Cinde Warmington.

Newsom has raised more than half a million dollars for New Hampshire Democrats this election cycle, including support for a new state party field office.

The trip adds to visits to early-voting states as Newsom considers a possible 2028 presidential campaign.

New Hampshire is set to be third in the Democrats’ 2028 primary calendar, after South Carolina and Nevada.

Newsom has said he would not run if former Vice President Kamala Harris enters the race, and that his family’s support matters.

After New Hampshire, he plans to campaign for Democrats in California.
