Renault recalls five hybrid Captur and Symbioz cars over fire risk

Renault has recalled five hybrid cars over a possible battery fire risk.

The recall covers four Symbioz cars and one Captur II, made between December 1, 2025, and February 6, 2026.

The problem is a faulty electrical connection in the traction battery, caused by an assembly defect.

The connection could overheat the battery cells and, in the worst case, start a fire.

The recall is a preventive safety measure; the available information does not report a fire or accident involving these cars.

Owners identified as affected will receive a registered letter asking them to book an appointment at a Renault dealer.

The garage visit is expected to take about four and a half hours, and a replacement vehicle will be provided while the car is being checked.
