DSE to showcase plant-growth LED lights at South Korean farm expo
South Korean LED maker DSE will showcase plant-growth lights at the KIEMSTA farm expo in Daegu from November 4 to 7.
The product, called Hippopharmtech, is designed for growing crops indoors and in farm facilities.
DSE says it grows leafy vegetables in its own containers and studies how different light conditions affect plants.
In comparisons with other LED lights, crops grown under Hippopharmtech lights weighed about 25% more, the company said.
At the expo, DSE plans to show high-output lights for greenhouses and shelf lights for plant factories and seedling farms.
The company says its lights can help farms manage growing conditions as sunlight and temperatures become more variable, and it will offer advice on fitting lights to crops and facilities.
