LJ Cleary to Miss 9 to 12 Months of Wrestling After Injury

Irish wrestler LJ Cleary will miss nine to 12 months of wrestling after an injury that requires surgery.

Cleary, who is engaged to WWE star Lyra Valkyria, announced the injury on X. He wrestled for ROH and TNA in 2026, including in TNA’s Call Your Shot Gauntlet Match at Bound For Glory.

He also took part in a WWE tryout in 2025.

The injury interrupts a year of career momentum, as Cleary said he had big plans lined up.

Surgery and a lengthy absence are ahead, but Cleary described the setback as a minor speed bump and said he would see fans again soon.
