The Plumas Migratorias festival will take place October 24 and 25 in Mexico City.

It will use the Bosque de Tlalpan and the Mexico City Ecological Park, both protected natural areas in the south of the capital.

The event brings together groups, specialists, institutions and visitors interested in birds that live in or pass through the city.

Its program includes birdwatching walks, talks, workshops and exhibitions, with activities planned for morning, afternoon and night.

On Saturday, the schedule begins with a birdwatching walk at Bosque de Tlalpan, followed by talks about local species, Mexican forests and protected areas.

Workshops and stands will run there from 10 a.m.

to 3 p.m., including activities about birds’ cultural importance and a photography exhibition.

The festival aims to connect people with urban wildlife and natural spaces through learning and outdoor activities.
