Chucky leaves Dead by Daylight’s store, but existing owners keep access

Behaviour Interactive will remove Chucky from Dead by Daylight’s store on November 24, 2026.

The character is leaving because the game’s developers could not retain the license, despite wanting to keep licensed content in the game.

Players who already own Chucky, his perks or related cosmetics can still use them after the sale ends.

The change follows the removal of other horror characters, including Pinhead and Michael Myers.

Behaviour says horror franchises that leave are welcome to return, though it has not said when Chucky or Child’s Play might come back.

Stranger Things’ Demogorgon was removed in 2021 and returned in 2023, showing that a return is possible.

New players will no longer be able to buy Chucky’s chapter after the cutoff, while the game continues to add other horror characters.
