Horse, 28, suffers irreversible injuries after intrusion at Jussac riding centre

During the night of October 10 to 11, people entered a riding centre in Jussac, Cantal without permission.

The centre says the intruders had been celebrating at a nearby event hall.

They took Kouros, a 28-year-old horse already recovering from an injury, from his stable and brought him to the hall.

He was returned with serious injuries, and a veterinarian examined him that day.

The centre says the injuries have irreversible effects on Kouros's health.

Other horses were found loose or badly disturbed, and several stable doors had marks from blows.

The centre has filed a complaint over the incident, and the Cantal equestrian committee says it will join the case as a civil party.
