Meijiang Bridge on Ruimei Railway Completes Main Structure

Meijiang Bridge on Ruimei Railway Completes Main Structure

The Meijiang Bridge’s final span was joined on Nov.

5, completing its main structure.

The bridge is part of the Ruimei Railway and Longlong Railway, built together as a three-track crossing.

It is 929.826 metres long and crosses the Zhanglong Railway near an operating rail line.

Building over the active railway required strict safety controls, including a protective canopy and monitoring during construction.

Completing the bridge opens a route for laying railway girders along the line.

It also clears a key obstacle to track-laying and other railway construction.

The completed bridge is a milestone, but the sources give no date for when the railway will open.
