FS Italiane Presents Historic-Train Tourism Film at Rome Film Festival
FS Italiane and its foundation presented a new promotional film at the Rome Film Festival.
Directed by Volfango De Biasi, it stars Serena De Ferrari as a woman who boards a historic train at Milan station.
Moving between carriages takes her through different periods in time, with Lucio Dalla’s song “Felicità” as the soundtrack.
The film is part of an effort to promote a different kind of tourism, where the journey matters more than the destination.
Historic trains can also take visitors to lesser-known small towns.
The foundation says it preserves trains that shaped Italy’s history and runs museums from Trieste to Pietrarsa; no further steps were announced.
