More than 1,000 protest cost of living and rearmament in Turin
More than 1,000 people marched in Turin against rising living costs and rearmament.
The crowd included students, workers, teachers and farmers, with reports differing on whether turnout reached several thousand.
The march was promoted by Torino in Piazza, a local coordination group linked to Italia in Piazza.
A tractor from the Independent Italian Farmers group led the march from Piazza Castello towards Via Po and Piazza Vittorio Veneto.
Banners called for dignity and action on living costs, while some protesters chanted against Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Transport Minister Matteo Salvini.
Organisers set up a permanent mobilisation point with a gazebo, following a plan discussed at a public assembly days earlier.
