Aranzulla says AI summaries halved visits to his site and cut profits by 72%

Salvatore Aranzulla says AI summaries are reducing visits to his Italian tech-advice site.

He says the site, aranzulla.it, went from one million daily visitors in 2024 to 500,000 today.

The company’s net profit fell 72% in 2025, to about €641,000, although revenue rose to about €8.39 million.

Aranzulla says chatbots can use human-written material to answer questions without sending many readers to the websites that produced it.

That leaves publishers with fewer visits and less income to pay for reliable information.

His company uses AI too, and he says it helps speed up work.

He has no clear solution and says the business can continue only while it remains profitable.
