Search continues for missing priest Clemente Morales in Sinaloa

Father Clemente Morales, a 67-year-old Catholic priest, is missing in Sinaloa, Mexico.

He was last seen on October 24 in Culiacán, the state capital.

Sinaloa’s governor said the state security department has begun a search and is staying in contact with church authorities.

Parishioners gathered to pray and demand he be found alive.

Culiacán has been hit by violence linked to fighting within the Sinaloa Cartel, with more than 2,000 people killed since 2024.

At least 14 priests have been killed in Mexico over the past seven years, adding to concerns about their safety.

The search for Morales is continuing, but authorities have not said what happened to him.
