Kia Opens Pre-Bookings for Carens EV in Indonesia
Kia Sales Indonesia has opened pre-bookings for its Carens EV, an electric family vehicle, in Indonesia.
The company showed the vehicle at the 2026 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show and is now gauging customer interest.
Its indicative prices range from Rp 382 million to Rp 432 million, below the BYD M6’s starting price of Rp 395 million, though Kia has not confirmed its final prices.
The Carens EV comes in Air and Earth types, with six- or seven-seat configurations and a choice of Standard or Long Range batteries.
Kia claims the Air version can travel up to 404 km on a full charge, while the Earth version can reach up to 490 km; actual range can vary.
The EV adds another option in Indonesia’s electric MPV market, where it will compete with the BYD M6.
