Mó Global plans optical stores in six Latin American countries

Mó Global, the company behind Spain’s Multiópticas, plans to expand across six Latin American countries with help from retail group Disresa.

The first stores are planned for Guatemala and the Dominican Republic in early 2027.

Later openings are planned in Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador and Panama, with an initial focus on major shopping centres in national capitals.

Disresa operates about 150 stores in Central America and the Caribbean for several brands, and the partnership is intended to help Mó Global establish its optical-store network in the region.

The company already has stores in Mexico and Peru and recently opened its first store in Portugal.

A €45 million capital increase is funding international growth after the company changed from a cooperative to a limited company in 2025.

Mó Global says its stores will offer vision and hearing care alongside accessible design, but the sources do not give opening dates for the four later markets.
