Jane Danson hints at a more sympathetic side to Coronation Street's Idris
Jane Danson says viewers may see another side to Idris Nazir in the coming months on ITV soap Coronation Street.
Idris has been causing trouble in Weatherfield and is dating Leanne Battersby, played by Danson.
The pair are trying to persuade Nick Tilsley to sell them the Bistro, but have not succeeded yet.
Danson says Idris may have a conscience and that his past and reasons for his behaviour remain unexplored.
The character is played by Junade Khan, who joined the show five or six months ago, according to Danson.
Idris is set to threaten a takeover of Carla Connor-Swain's Underworld business and clash with Daniel Osbourne over school-owned land due to be sold to developers.
