Estonia-based Blackwall raises $100 million at $2.2 billion valuation

Estonia-based Blackwall raised $100 million in a funding round that values the company at $2.2 billion.

Blackwall makes tools that help web hosting, cloud and managed service providers identify and manage web traffic for the sites they support.

Its tools protect against threats such as DDoS attacks and malicious bots, while allowing providers to offer the services under their own brands.

The company also aims to distinguish legitimate AI agents from harmful automated traffic as more software interacts with websites.

This matters because websites and their infrastructure providers face rising volumes of automated requests, and Blackwall says its platform can help manage them.

AVP led the Series C, with existing investors Dawn Capital, MMC Ventures and Tera Ventures also taking part.

Blackwall plans to expand across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East, and develop more security tools for providers.
