Seoul apartment sales expected to reach 10,887 units this year
Seoul is expected to offer 10,887 apartments for general sale this year, according to figures counted at the end of last month.
That is about 2.7 times last year’s 3,979 units.
The increase reflects projects that were postponed from last year and are now expected to go ahead.
Large redevelopment projects, especially in Seoul’s Gangnam area, are also adding to the planned supply.
These figures concern apartments available for general sale, rather than all housing built in the city.
The totals are planned supply, so they do not confirm how many units will ultimately be sold this year.
