Bosch Prequel Will Stream on MGM+ After Other Platforms Passed
MGM+ will stream Bosch: Start of Watch because that studio wanted the new series, creator Michael Connelly said.
Cameron Monaghan plays a 26-year-old Harry Bosch, taking over the role from Titus Welliver for this prequel.
The show follows Bosch returning to the United States after the Persian Gulf War and joining the Los Angeles Police Department.
Its story is set in Los Angeles before the riots that followed the beating of Rodney King.
MGM+ is an Amazon-owned companion service to Prime Video, but it is not yet clear whether the show will later appear on Prime Video.
The first two episodes arrive January 10, with new episodes scheduled weekly through February 21.
