New book retraces Pier Paolo Pasolini’s life and legacy
Cosimo Damiano Damato’s new book follows the memory of Pier Paolo Pasolini, the Italian poet and filmmaker.
Called *Le ceneri di Pasolini*, it is accompanied by *Bestemmia*, a work by performer and author Pierpaolo Capovilla.
The journey begins at Pasolini’s tomb in Rome’s Non-Catholic Cemetery and ends in Casarsa, in the Friuli region, where the poet is remembered.
The route connects places tied to Pasolini with his continuing influence, including his poetry and public ideas.
The book explores themes such as people pushed to the margins, social change, faith and poetry as resistance.
The book is now available in bookstores, and its publication brings Damato and Capovilla’s works together.
