Orell Füssli Thalia takes over Winterthur stationery shop
Orell Füssli Thalia is taking over Papeterie Schoch in Winterthur, Switzerland.
The shop has been run by the Schoch family since it opened in 1882 and is now in its fourth generation of family ownership.
The store will keep its name and current location, and all its employees will keep their jobs.
Current owner Karin Schoch will help with the handover until February 2027.
The shop sells stationery, art and school supplies, as well as gifts.
The handover is a succession deal, and no purchase price has been disclosed.
Separately, Karin Schoch’s daughter Muriel Sager is set to take over Büro Schoch AG in early 2027 and run its business-focused online store independently of the stationery shop.
