Oppo Find X10 Pro Max adds a Hasselblad teleconverter for 10x photos

Oppo’s Find X10 Pro Max supports a Hasselblad teleconverter kit that extends its telephoto camera’s reach.

The phone is Oppo’s latest high-end model, launching in Europe, Asia and other markets, but is difficult to get in the United States.

The accessory attaches to a special case and turns the 70mm telephoto lens into a 230mm lens, roughly 10x compared with the main camera.

Daylight sample images at 10x show sharp detail, while the lens needs about a metre of distance to focus.

The kit adds weight and bulk, and its metal plate blocks the phone’s other cameras until the plate is removed.

The teleconverter also works through its own camera mode, so it cannot be used in Pro mode.

The phone itself has three 200-megapixel cameras, though its main sensor is smaller than the one in Oppo’s Find X9 Ultra; no further launch details are given.
