Bethesda names its next Elder Scrolls game Sentinel

Bethesda has named its next Elder Scrolls game The Elder Scrolls 6: Sentinel.

Todd Howard announced the title in a video marking the studio’s 40th anniversary.

The game follows The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, but Bethesda has shared little about the new role-playing game.

A passage shown after the game’s logo refers to Hammerfell, suggesting that the next game is set there.

The passage is dated to 4E 206 and indicates that Sentinel takes place five years after Skyrim.

The setting and timeline give fans some clues, but many details remain unknown.

Bethesda has not said when the game will be released.
