Tokayev pledges support for Turkish businesses during Ankara visit

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Ankara during an official visit to Türkiye.

Tokayev said Kazakhstan was ready to support Turkish companies and provide favourable conditions for their business activities.

He described the two countries as close partners with shared history, language and traditions.

Türkiye is among Kazakhstan’s five largest trade partners and ten largest investors, Tokayev said.

The countries’ expanding strategic partnership matters for their economic and political cooperation, including in international organisations.

Tokayev also said he plans to attend the COP31 climate summit in Antalya, though no further details of the visit’s next steps were given.
