Queen Letizia urges wider action to prevent risks facing young people

Queen Letizia released a video for FAD Juventud’s 40th anniversary to highlight the need to protect young people.

FAD Juventud has worked on addiction prevention for four decades, and Letizia is its honorary president.

She urged young people to avoid drugs and other harmful risks, including bullying, gender-based violence and digital abuse.

The video also points to newer concerns such as digital addictions and threats that can be harder to spot online.

Letizia said information, dialogue and education help young people make responsible choices and care for their mental health.

She also called for safe environments where families can play a part.

Her message presents youth protection as a shared responsibility, and the organisation thanked her for marking its anniversary.
