France 3 replaces sailing documentary over legal reasons

France 3 has cancelled a documentary about sailor Marie Tabarly that was due to air on November 2.

Pen Duick VI: de père en fille follows her around the world during the 2023–24 Ocean Globe Race aboard the yacht Pen Duick VI.

France Télévisions said the film was pulled for legal reasons, but gave no further details.

The channel will show a repeat of Sauveteurs en mer, l'appel et le sacrifice in its place at 11:10 p.m.

The replacement documentary recounts a 1986 rescue that killed five volunteer rescuers off the coast of Brittany.

It had previously aired on France 3 in October 2025.

The rest of the channel’s schedule for November 2 will remain unchanged.
