Ticketmaster Mexico updates app with personalized event alerts
Ticketmaster Mexico has updated its mobile app to help users discover events, buy tickets and manage their entry passes.
The app now suggests events using a user's location, interests and local search trends.
Fans can follow artists, teams and venues and get alerts about presales, general sales and newly available tickets.
The change targets a problem identified in a company survey: about 40% of fans say they hear about events or ticket sales too late.
Ticketmaster says it has more than 13 million users in Mexico, and about 80% of tickets issued there are digital.
The app also lists events in more than 34 markets, with prices shown in each market's currency.
SafeTix remains in place, using changing barcodes and an animated hologram to help guard against copied or fake tickets; users can also transfer tickets and save them to a phone's digital wallet.
