Iranian lawmaker threatens Israeli sites if Iran is attacked

Iranian lawmaker Ebrahim Azizi threatened to target Israel if Iran’s national security or interests were threatened.

Azizi chairs the Iranian parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee.

He responded to a post quoting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speaking about bringing down Iran’s government.

Azizi said Israel could become unlivable in less than an hour, without explaining how an attack would be carried out.

He also shared a map marking the Dimona nuclear facility, bridges, energy sites and water-treatment plants in Israel.

The map suggested these critical sites could be targeted in a possible conflict.

The statements raise the stakes in the tensions between Iran and Israel, but no further action or next step was specified.
