Phantom Blade Zero sells 4 million copies in 72 hours

S-Game says Phantom Blade Zero sold 4 million copies in 72 hours after going on sale on Oct.

29.

The wuxia-inspired action game was developed by Beijing-based studio S-Game and is available on Steam, PlayStation 5 and China’s WeGame.

Wuxia stories feature martial-arts heroes, and the game mixes that style with some elements of soulslike games.

It also drew a peak of 833,921 players on Steam at once, making it the platform’s biggest game launch of the year so far.

Its sales are a strong start, but they are below Black Myth: Wukong’s 10 million copies in three days.

The game’s 4 million total covers multiple platforms, and S-Game has not given a breakdown by platform.

Sales could rise further, with an Xbox release and a physical edition expected later, though the sources give no dates for either.

perfectly captures the meaning of martial arts by chasing more the artistic aspect of the fighting styles and visual poetry of the fantastical battles staged in Wuxia movies.
