Turkey plans AI-powered tax help available around the clock
Turkey’s Revenue Administration plans an AI service for taxpayers as part of its 2027 government programme.
The Digital Taxpayer Representative project, called Yeni GİBİ, is planned as a chatbot available 24 hours a day.
The agency also plans to connect tax rules to AI tools on its website and mobile app.
The changes are meant to help taxpayers get real-time support and help officials respond to risks more quickly.
The programme also calls for AI and big data to support risk checks aimed at tackling unregistered economic activity.
It plans reviews of tax exemptions and deductions, with ineffective ones to be removed.
The government plans to expand digital tools across public finance, including early warnings and forecasting, but the sources do not give a launch date for these measures.
