WazirX focuses on creditor recovery and AI after relaunch

WazirX restarted operations in October last year after an 18-month pause following a 2024 cyberattack and restructuring.

Founder Nischal Shetty says the exchange is now focused on recovering value for creditors and regaining its leading position.

The company also plans to develop an AI copilot to help traders make better decisions.

Shetty says customer support satisfaction has stayed at 90 per cent over the past three months, up from the mid-60 per cent range when the exchange restarted.

WazirX has introduced a Rs 99 monthly plan for unlimited trading without platform fees, while India’s one per cent tax deducted at source on sales remains.

Futures trading volumes rose about 240 per cent from July to September, and the exchange says security upgrades are part of its effort to rebuild trust.
