Bruno Fernandes’ home burgled while he played in Italy

Bruno Fernandes’ home in Cheshire was burgled on Wednesday while he was in Italy with Manchester United.

His family were not at home, and police arrived while the intruders were inside.

Manchester United are supporting their captain after the break-in.

Fernandes was playing in a Champions League match against Como, which United lost 4-1.

He criticised manager Michael Carrick’s tactics after the defeat, saying United should have pressed higher.

Fernandes will not be disciplined for his comments and will remain club captain.
