BAFTA Names 21 Creatives to Its 2026 Breakthrough U.K. Cohort

BAFTA selected 21 emerging U.K. creatives for its 2026 Breakthrough program, covering film, television and games.

The group includes actors Ella Bruccoleri, Izuka Hoyle and Sophie Stone, as well as writers, directors, producers and game creators.

The program offers year-round career support, mentorship and networking, along with full BAFTA membership.

It is in its 13th year and aims to help rising talent build lasting careers across the screen industries.

Netflix is supporting the program for a seventh consecutive year, as part of its initiative to develop talent in the U.K. Past participants include Florence Pugh, Tom Holland and Bella Ramsey, and more than 330 creatives have taken part globally since the program began.

BAFTA North America is expected to announce its U.S. cohort later in November.
