Reports say Houthi attacks in Taiz killed three civilians and wounded eight
Local officials and Yemen’s state news agency said attacks blamed on the Houthis killed three civilians in Taiz.
One woman was reported killed and seven civilians wounded in bombardments that hit homes in the Siyneh and Al-Mesbah areas.
Separately, the agency said a mortar strike hit an ambulance in Sabir al-Shaqab as it carried an 18-year-old girl to hospital.
The girl and the ambulance driver were killed, and a doctor accompanying them was wounded.
The reported attacks come amid wider fighting in Yemen, where the Houthis and Saudi Arabia have also accused each other of harming civilians.
Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Seri said Saudi air and missile strikes hit civilian areas in eight provinces, including Taiz, in the past 24 hours.
He gave no casualty figures for those strikes, and the accounts provided no further information on what happens next.
Reports said attacks in Yemen’s Taiz governorate killed three civilians and wounded eight.
Taiz local authorities said bombardment hit homes in the Siyneh and Al-Mesbah areas, killing a woman and wounding seven civilians.
A separate report said a Houthi mortar attack hit an ambulance in Sabir Ash-Shiqab, killing a patient and the driver and wounding a doctor.
