Bill Nighy filmed by YouTuber wearing Meta smart glasses

Actor Bill Nighy was filmed outside a cafe in London by YouTuber Jack Jones, who was wearing camera-equipped Ray-Ban smart glasses made by Meta.

Jones spoke to Nighy and posted the recording on his YouTube channel.

A person close to Nighy described the encounter as unpleasant and disrespectful, and said it left the actor unsettled.

Jones says he told Nighy he was filming and that Nighy agreed to the video being uploaded.

This is not the first time Jones has approached Nighy: earlier videos showed him surprising the actor and later presenting flowers as an apology.

Camera-equipped smart glasses have faced criticism because people can be filmed without their knowledge, and some venues have banned them.
