Warriors sign Tyler Burton to an Exhibit 10 deal

The Golden State Warriors have signed forward Tyler Burton to an Exhibit 10 deal.

Burton is 26 and played 12 games for the Memphis Grizzlies last season as a rookie.

He averaged 10.8 points and 4.2 rebounds in 25.6 minutes per game, but his shooting was inefficient.

Golden State had acquired his G League rights in a trade between its Santa Cruz affiliate and the Memphis Hustle.

The signing followed the Warriors waiving guard Miles Kelly.

If the Warriors waive Burton before the season starts, he can qualify for a bonus of up to $91,000 by spending at least 60 days with Santa Cruz.

The deal gives Burton a possible route to continue playing in the Warriors’ organization.
