19 suspects jailed in Ankara criminal-organization investigation

A court in Ankara ordered 19 suspects jailed in an investigation into an alleged criminal organization linked to Alihan Kuriş.

The case is being led by Ankara’s chief public prosecutor’s office, with police investigating the group’s activities.

Police carried out a fifth operation on October 19 as part of the investigation.

Authorities said 38 suspects were detained in that operation.

Of those, 24 were brought before the prosecutor and then sent to a criminal court.
