Gwangju apartment project to open 1,387 homes for sale in November
A Gwangju apartment project will take sales applications in November after years of delays.
The project, called IPARK Mudeungsan Sky Forest, is in Hakdong, in the city’s Dong-gu district.
The general sale will offer 1,387 of its 2,299 homes, with units ranging from 39 to 135 square metres.
In June 2021, a building being demolished at the site collapsed onto a city bus, killing nine people and injuring eight.
Construction was delayed for several years and began in December 2025; completion and move-in are targeted for the first half of 2029.
The developer is promoting the project’s transport links and nearby schools and hospitals, while local attention is on sales after weak applications for another recent Gwangju development.
