Dutch minimum hourly wage to rise to €15.29 in 2027
The Netherlands’ minimum hourly wage for workers aged 21 and over will rise to €15.29 on 1 January 2027.
The increase follows an earlier adjustment in July, when the rate went from €14.71 to €14.99.
The new adult rate was set through indexation, which adjusts payments in line with prices.
Minimum rates for workers aged 16 to 20 will also increase from January, as they are set as percentages of the adult rate.
For example, the rate for 18-year-olds will rise from 50% to 62.5%, while the rate for 19-year-olds will go from 60% to 75%.
The changes set a higher legal pay floor for many young workers, although employers or collective agreements may already pay more.
The minimum wage is adjusted twice a year, and the next scheduled adjustment is in July 2027.
