Samcheok chrysanthemum show to open at beach with 10,500 flowers
The 11th Samcheok Chrysanthemum Exhibition opens Oct.
23 at Samcheok Beach in Gangwon Province, South Korea, and runs through Nov.
22.
It will display more than 10,500 chrysanthemums, including large flower sculptures and smaller blooms.
The displays include figures representing Samcheok, animals and familiar characters, with lights planned for evening viewing.
From Oct.
23 to Nov.
8, visitors can see and buy local farm products and take part in activities such as making small flower bouquets.
A separate booth from Oct.
26 to Nov.
8 will promote smart and youth farming and share plans for the future of agriculture in Samcheok.
The beach stage will also host music performances during the exhibition.
The 11th Samcheok Chrysanthemum Exhibition will run from October 23 to November 22 at Samcheok Beach in Gangwon Province.
More than 10,500 chrysanthemums will be displayed, including 10,000 small-flowered chrysanthemums, 430 large-flowered chrysanthemums and 70 sculptural or multi-stemmed works.
The exhibition’s theme is “Samcheok Agriculture Today and Tomorrow Through Chrysanthemums.”
Displays will include works representing Samcheok, animal sculptures and familiar characters, with lighting intended to give them a different look at night.
The event will also feature local agricultural products, hands-on activities, smart agriculture information and performances.
