Josh Hokit says he faced tough opponents before UFC title fight

Josh Hokit says he faced tough opponents on his way to a UFC heavyweight title shot.

The unbeaten American is scheduled to fight champion Ciryl Gane in the UFC 334 main event on Nov.

14 at Madison Square Garden in New York.

UFC chief Dana White said he may have given Hokit harder matchups because he disliked some of the fighter’s comments.

White also said Hokit had passed every test and earned the title opportunity.

Hokit responded on social media by listing the backgrounds of his first four UFC opponents, including wrestler Curtis Blaydes and former title challenger Derrick Lewis.

The matchup matters because a win would make Hokit the heavyweight champion, while a loss would end his bid for the title.

The fight is scheduled to be shown live and free on Paramount+.

Hokit has been overlooked the entire time, not only by the fans and media, but by me. I didn't like some of the things he said, so I might have threw some tough guys at him, and he passed every test, and here he is.

Like him or hate him, he fought his way to the top, and there's no denying that this guy deserves this title shot and belongs there.
