Supreme Court orders Anant Singh to surrender by December 1

The Supreme Court ordered Anant Singh to surrender by December 1 in the murder case of Dular Chand Yadav in Bihar.

Singh, an expelled Janata Dal (United) lawmaker, was arrested over allegations that he orchestrated the killing.

The Patna High Court granted him bail in March, but the Supreme Court was hearing a request to cancel it.

One account says the court cancelled his bail, while another says it ordered him to surrender without clearly stating that his bail was cancelled.

The court also directed Bihar Police to complete the investigation within four months and scheduled another hearing after that period.

The case remains under investigation, and Singh must meet the surrender deadline.
