US leads global diesel exports, while Türkiye ranks 21st

The US led global diesel exports in 2025, shipping an average of 1.264 million barrels a day.

Russia ranked second and Saudi Arabia third, according to figures compiled from JODI and OPEC data.

Together, the top five exporters supplied 46.9% of the world’s diesel exports; India and South Korea completed the group.

Global exports averaged about 8.2 million barrels a day.

Türkiye ranked 21st, exporting an average of 78,900 barrels a day and holding 1% of the global total.

Diesel is widely used in transport, farming and industry, so interruptions at major refining and export centres can affect fuel markets and supply chains.

Türkiye’s export figure alone does not show whether it was a net exporter, because imports must also be considered; no further action is stated.
