Abhishek Sharma sets India’s T20 record with 111 sixes in 2026

Abhishek Sharma has hit 111 sixes in T20 cricket in 2026, setting a new yearly record for an Indian batter.

The India opener reached the mark during the third T20 international against the West Indies in Indore, where he scored 69 from 30 balls.

His five sixes helped India make 223, and India won by 14 runs.

Sharma had held the previous Indian record with 108 sixes in 2025.

The list also includes his 87 sixes in 2024, while Vaibhav Suryavanshi is third with 90 in 2026.

Sharma also became the fastest player to reach 2,000 T20 international runs, doing so in 1,024 balls, according to the figures reported.

India’s fourth match in the series is scheduled for 14 October in Hyderabad.
