Air Caraïbes flight diverted to Guadeloupe after air-conditioning failure

An Air Caraïbes flight from Martinique to Paris diverted to Guadeloupe during the night of October 28 to 29.

The Airbus A350 left Fort-de-France for Paris-Orly at about 8:05 p.m.

The plane’s air conditioning failed during the flight, and several people on board felt unwell.

There were 442 passengers and crew members on board.

The plane landed at Guadeloupe’s Maryse-Condé airport shortly after midnight, where airport firefighters checked the situation and medical help had been prepared.

No further rescue intervention was needed after the check.

Officials have not said whether the flight continued to Paris or how passengers were taken care of afterward.
