Rory Culkin takes a leading role in Apple TV series Nocturne
Rory Culkin stars in the new series Nocturne, which begins on Apple TV on October 30.
He plays a naive nurse at a psychiatric hospital who is manipulated by a notorious serial killer.
Culkin has acted since childhood, including in films with his older brothers Macaulay and Kieran, but has often been less famous than they are.
The series is bringing him greater attention, though he appeared uncomfortable at its New York premiere.
The Culkin family grew up poor, and Rory’s father, who managed his children’s careers, was accused by Macaulay of psychological and physical abuse.
Macaulay later struggled with depression and drug addiction, experiences that help explain why fame may feel difficult for Rory.
