Cruise lines cut Caribbean fares as ship capacity rises
More ships are competing for passengers in the Caribbean, so cruise companies are cutting prices.
The average starting price for an inside cabin on a five- to seven-night January cruise was lower in September than a year earlier.
Norwegian has added many ships to the region and has warned that price pressure may continue in 2027.
Lower fares help companies fill ships because many of their costs stay similar whether ships are partly full or nearly full.
