Apple hires former Meta executive to lead global litigation

Apple has hired Scott Tucker to lead global litigation in a newly created vice president role covering litigation and financial services.

Tucker spent nearly six years at Meta as a vice president and deputy general counsel for global litigation, and previously held a senior legal position at Morgan Stanley.

The hire is part of a wider reorganization of Apple's legal team led by Jennifer Newstead, Meta's former chief legal officer, who joined Apple as general counsel earlier this year.

Tucker will oversee commercial and patent litigation worldwide and legal matters involving Apple's financial offerings.

Heather Grenier will now report to Tucker on commercial and competition litigation, while keeping her place on Newstead's legal leadership team.

Apple has also expanded Kyle Andeer's remit to include international legal matters, online child safety, cybersecurity and law enforcement.
